Practical Simplicity
Donna
I have been married for twenty years to Tony the love of my life. I could not have asked for a more perfect companion ~ God’s gifts are the best! The Lord has blessed us with three children whom we have home educated since their births. It is a blessing to see the LORD’s hand on their lives in spite of all our mistakes made as parents. God is faithful to complete His work as we are obedient to His word.
The LORD has been our joy in life’s triumphs and trials of which we have had many. When my children were quite young I became very sick with a severe blood infection that nearly took my life. It took my body a year to recover only to become gravely ill again. This time it was stage 3 colon cancer and another long struggle back to health.
I praise the LORD for each day He gives me to be a wife and mother. The life lessons our family learned during that time in our lives are too numerous to list here. Life is too short to waste on trivial things of this world and our God is too AWESOME to not praise and worship Him continually.

I am the oldest child and only daughter in my family. Upon graduation this summer (2009) I will continue to serve the LORD by serving my family at home as I pursue the skills necessary to one day run a household of my own.
Last Fall I began a natural skin care business called Practical Simplicity. Being allergic to many products on the market today, plus the high cost of products from the health food stores caused me to seek out alternatives from our kitchen. Naturally to follow was to make these items available for others.
It has been a great blessing to our family to live close to my grandparents all our lives. Because of this we all share a special relationship with them. At age five my grandmother began to teach me how to sew. I have been so blessed by all the skills she has taught me over the years. She has given me not only a love for the art of sewing but also a love for the practical side of it as well.
We are Christian women committed to serving our LORD Jesus Christ with our whole heart, soul, mind, and strength. We are determined to live our lives according to God’s word not by our culture’s standards.
