A Special Tradition With A Wonderful Surprise!
Yesterday was my Grandma’s 72nd Birthday (my Grandma who taught me how to sew)! One of the traditions that started when I was about 5 years old was that my Grandma wanted to share her Birthday with me, so her and I celebrate both of our Birthdays on her Birthday! My actual Birthday is in late December, but Grandma wanted to make me feel better when I was smaller as I was very sad to have to wait till December to have my birthday when I was smaller! But now that I am older, I don’t mind waiting, but the tradition has stayed since then and I NEVER want to change it! (neither does she!) So, yesterday my Mom and I took Grandma to The “Spring Tea Garden Tea Room” and had a wonderful time chatting and enjoying some lovely tea and sandwiches, and exchanging our gifts for each other!
When we went back to her house to drop her off after our delightful afternoon, as Both Grandma and I walked into the dining room, there on the table was a lovely vase of flowers with the name “Shirley” on it (my Grandma), and a gorgeous bouquet of flowers with the name “Antoinette” on it (ME)!!!!! I was so surprised, I ran and gave my Grandpa a BIG hug and thanked him so many times for my wonderful surprise! Grandma loved her flowers so much too and was not expecting them either! It was such a wonderful day I will never forget it! Thank you Grandma for sharing your special day with me, and for having tea with Mom and me! And thanks a million Grandpa for my lovely flowers! You were so sweet to think of both Grandma and I! Here are some photos of my lovely bouquet! I did not have my camera with me to take a photo of my Grandmas vase of flowers though!

Well, tomorrow is my Dad’s 50th Birthday, so I wonder what we will do for him? Tea anyone!
Love in Christ, Antoinette K.

Hi Annie,
What a special day. Sounds like it was lots of fun. You still need to blog about your costume.
What a great tradition and a beautiful bouquet of flowers!
Christine~ I will be posting my costume after the reenactment, as I want to surprise the girls that I am going with! I do not want them to see it until then, sorry!
But don’t worry, I intend on posting about it as soon as I possably can!
Blessings,
Antoinette K.
Hi Antoinette! Aww, that’s so sweet! And those flowers are sooo lovely! =:) What a special way to celebrate your birthday! My youngest brother Christopher 912) has his birthday in Dec. too, and so does my grandmother and my dad! Lol! So we celebrate my brother’s 1/2 birthday in the summer with my other brother (15) so he doesn’t feel left out. Then he gets one big gift on his real birthday and he gets to pick his favorite meal and treat to eat. =:)
Blessings and Hugs!

Aww, that was a beautiful post! Happy birthday to your grandma and to your dad!
Thank for stopping by my blog too. Sorry that I’m returning your comments so late. But they were a pleasant surprise.
Huggles!
