Civil War Reenactment
Saturday our family went to a civil war reenactment and we had such a wonderful time! I had made a dress about 3 weeks before the reenactment to make sure I would get it done in time, and got it done a lot faster than I thought which was very nice!
I know some of you have been anticipating the photos I took while we where there, so without further adieu…..
here is my most prized picture of the entire day! I think it is soooooo adorable!

Here is one of the old cannons they used in the battle!

TO ARMS!!!!

I have to give credit to these guys for getting into those authentic wool costumes and just lying there in 90 plus degree weather for 20 to 30 min.! AMAZING!!!

Here is Abraham Lincoln giving his speech!

They all did such a great job! I had so much fun I did not want the day to end!
And now for the pictures you all have been waiting for…
MY DRESS!!!
Here is a photo with one of my dear friends Johannah at the reenactment! (my dear brother Andrew took the last three photos)

Me being a southern belle for a day!

Me and my dear little friends the Miller girls! You little ladies looked so sweet at the reenactment!

I hope you all enjoyed the photos!

Your photos are lovely.
May I ask where this was taken place? I’m a Civil War reenactress and we might’ve actually seen each other here but just didn’t know it.

Beautiful dresses! I love old fashioned, especially Civil War dresses (they are so big!) dresses and feminine things to wear. I would love to do reenacting but have never done anything with it.
We did go to the Johnny Appleseed Festival a year or so ago and there was so much stuff to see. I loved all the ways that they used to do things. The displays were wonderful!
