Song of the Week!

As some of you know I just cannot live without music, whether it is being played on a CD, MP3, or even just being hummed by “yours truly” it impacts my life in so many ways and I find I am constantly listening or singing to music that is glorifying to the Lord and lifts my spirits and encourages me in my walk with the Savior every day 24/7!

What I thought would be neat is to every other week on Tuesdays to share a song that I love and that I find might be of encouragement to all our dear readers!  Some of these songs I share are also songs the rest of my family loves as well!  The reason I say “some” is because some members of our family do not care for certain types of music that I and my mother might enjoy! :)

So, to start off here is one hymn I find myself singing often:

He Leadeth Me

He leadeth me O blessed thought!
O words with heavenly comfort fraught!
Whate’er I do, where’er I be,
still ’tis God’s hand that leadeth me.

Refrain:
He leadeth me, he leadeth me,
by his own hand he leadeth me;
his faithful follower I would be,
for by his hand he leadeth me.

Sometimes mid scenes of deepest gloom,
sometimes where Eden’s bowers bloom,
by waters still, o’er troubled sea,
still ’tis his hand that leadeth me.
(Refrain)

Lord, I would place my hand in thine,
nor ever murmur nor repine;
content, whatever lot I see,
since ’tis my God that leadeth me.
(Refrain)

And when my task on earth is done,
when by thy grace the victory’s won,
e’en death’s cold wave I will not flee,
since God through Jordan leadeth me.
(Refrain)

You can listen to the song below as well

I hope this song encourages you and blesses you as it has for me!  This verse in Psalm seems to fit perfectly:

“Nevertheless, I am continually with you; you hold my right hand.  You guide me with your counsel,  and afterward you will receive me to glory.  Whom have I in heaven but you?  And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you.  My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”

~Psalm 73: 23-26~
